Issues WARNINGS about unauthorized travel
sellers of Israel airline tickets and packages!

JUNE 16, 2004 - BALTIMORE, MD  Amidst a growing concern of ticketing problems for passengers traveling to Israel, Northwest Travel Partners has issued the following:

"Passenger Travel Advisory"
For all passengers booking Israel tickets in the Mid Atlantic.

Text Box: 1)    Not all travel agents are the same. It is best to check which travel agents are authorized to sell the airlines they advertise.

2)    Some agents in the Mid Atlantic have had many of their airline authorizations revoked. Revocations usually stem from financial irregularities or ticketing violations with airline carriers, but can also occur for other serious reasons. This means that passengers may be at risk when purchasing tickets as these agencies may be buying tickets from brokers or third parties that may or may not represent the airlines that are advertised. In many cases air fares, programs, cancellation policies, luggage allowances, change fees and other important operational changes may not be provided or the information given to consumers may be false or inaccurate. As a result, in some cases, passengers have been stranded at airports, airline tickets may not have been honored, or excessive "last minute" fees have been charged by the agency or airline in order for a passenger to complete travel.

3)    Passengers dealing with Partially Revoked Authorization Agencies "PRAA agencies," may experience price changes from advertisements, known as "bait and switch" because these agencies are either not in control of the products they sell or they may be using a "lure" to bring in unsuspecting clients. In some cases passenger using PRAA agencies have reported slow ticket sales, even a lack of or no response to direct telephone inquiries regarding their travel purchases.

4)    Never give cash payments to a PRAA until you receive an actual ticket from an agency at the time of payment and your tickets or invoice equal the amount of you check. Sometimes PRAA agencies obtain free or mileage tickets and then resell for cash, which is a violation of airline rules and procedures. Many credit card users are protected under Federal Law under the ability to reject sales where no product or service is provided.

5)    Inspect your tickets. To verify the authenticity of any ticket, look to see who is the "authorizing agent" which can be found in the upper left hand corner of each and every paper ticket issued. The name of the issuing agency should be same as the agency where the ticket was purchased, if not, passengers should demand information as to where their tickets were purchased by the travel agency they are using. If the agency refuses, the passenger may obtain information by calling the airline's reservation center.

6)   Be wary of offers that seem "too good to be true." Check all advertised prices with airlines or other travel agents BEFORE YOU BUY.

7)    WATCH OUT for Charter or "cheap fare" air services. Charters ARE NOT airlines and as such may NOT afford the same service, security, protection aircraft maintenance and comfort as regularly scheduled "real" airlines. For more information, check out a research article by clicking here.

8)    Just because you have been doing business with an agency for years, does not mean circumstances surrounding their business operations are the same. By being an informed consumer BEFORE you buy any ticket or travel, you reduce your risk of disappointment and you help make your travel experience with a hard working agent, who cares about your business, memorable.

Travel agencies are still your best source for great fares and packages
to Israel and all other travel destinations.

AGENCY BECOMES THE LARGEST SELLER OF ISRAEL TRAVEL IN THE MID ATLANTIC
JUNE 7, 2004 - BALTIMORE, MARYLAND
Northwest Travel Partners announced today it has acquired IsraelFares.Com and plans to transfer its internet web operations to its new name over the next several months. "We feel that IsraelFares.Com represents the product we are trying to provide to the public," said Scott Schneider, operations director. In other related developments, the company is adding additional staff over the next several months to handle the volume of tour bookings it expects from its innovative internet venture in Israel, projected at 15 million dollars.

In other related news, Northwest Travel Partners and IsraelFares.com became the largest sellers of travel to Israel, out selling every travel agency in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States. The company's long range forecasts indicate it may exceed an annual sales revenue of 20 million dollars in air and ground transportation between 2004 and 2006.
